desperate seekers

The women in Luke 18 will be a judge to a lot of excuse givers in our generation! Do you know why? The poor widow did not mind the wickedness of that judge but she continued to seek the judge’s intervention. The unjust judge avenged that woman of her adversary. What can we say more, desperate seekers don’t give up.

They are hard pursuers. There is persistence in their soul! They possess an adamant spirit.

The woman with the issue of blood says “if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole! Mark 5:28, Are you not tired of many “physician’’ on the pulpit who lie to you! They promise you peace when there is war! Can you now come out and bear the shame like that women. The disciples might have acted as soldiers that day” blocked everywhere, people were much. A lot of people were seeking him but to that woman, she said No” I must touch him. A lot of people were touching Jesus both but their touch was different because she touched Jesus with hunger and Faith. Her faith was outstanding. She was persistent, she did not have a giving-up spirit! Can you be like her? You can only touch God by faith! She was tired of the stories of the scribes and Pharisees every Sabbath day yet her issues remain! I want to ask you, are you not tired of religious creed, organized sermons and doctrines that lacked the power of the cross! She started seeking for the giver of life! This is a narrow way; it’s only for desperate seekers. Men and women who are tired, and not comfortable with the superficial things, empty worship services without worship to the king. Sister, Be tired, seek for the crucified but resurrected Lord! He gives rest to the weary.  Matt 11:28. Blind Bartimaeus was a man who could not be shut down! If you want to go this way, you must develop tough and thick skin under God. Because you are going to face stiff opposition from the old serpent himself, because He knows this is the only way His ugly head would be crushed .He knows God does not joke with desperate seekers. He does not resist the cry of a humble soul. Isaiah 57:15, Bro Bartimaeus cried the more! Oh my father!  Jesus looks for such hearts! Bartimaeus knows He may not have this opportunity quickly Again and so He utilized it. Brother, how many eternal opportunities have you wasted? Jesus has been knocking on your heart but you keep on resisting the spirit! Mark 10:48, the bible says when they tried to stop him “He the cried the more! What is the issue of your life? you may be blind also but now blind to the way of God and  when you cry, religious people may tell you to keep quiet and sit down in church and you listen to them, your destiny is at stake, if you don’t cry the more .mark 10 verse 49, The bible recorded’ Jesus stopped  and said  “call him”

Call him now sister in your agony! He will not refuse. When you breakthrough in your prayer, when Jesus turns his face, those that oppose you will propose to you. Are you not tired of begging? Begging for prayers from ‘’men of God” who has used you as a business firm, exploited you. Some may have even’’ collected your pants’’ and ravaged it all in name of prayers and counseling. Bartimaeus became tired of begging and shouted up to Jesus. That is the character of a God- chaser! He refuses and conquers any opposition. People could have given him money to shut him up but He refused. God chasers are’’ refusers’ Moses refused to be called the son of pharaoh’s daughter.  Heb 11:24 -26.

Joseph refused sexual immorality at the platter of   gold from her wicked master’s wife. Gen. 39:10

Daniel refused to eat food offered to idols! Daniel 1:8

If you must go far with God, you must be a “refuser of things”, men’s opinion, their useless pity and wrong association. What have you refused?  That is the way of the cross, it is a narrow way Luke 9: 23, you must forsake all and follow. There is no crown without a cross, no gain without pain, He who wants the crown of gold but first wear the crown of thorns Phil 2:5 -11. He who wants to reap in joy must first of all sow in tears. Psalm 126:5-6: it is a principle! There is no shortcut because every shortcut will cut you short. Nothing gotten through short lasts, it may even destroy you! Esau got the red pottage through short lasts, it may even destroy you! Esau got the red pottage through short; it destroyed his destiny. Heb 12:16! He could not wait to cook his own meal, the bible called him a sexually immoral man, because it is same spirit of immorality that could not allow you to wait to marry before you have sex, but you want to have it now. Check yourself! Has it not destroyed and wrecked your life!
